Federal Merchants Awarded Office Supplies Contract

Federal Merchants, a certified minority-owned small business, was recently awarded a 5-year office supplies contract in partnership with our prime contractor, ShireWire Global Sales and Distribution LLC, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.

Together, Team ShireWire was one of nine total awardees, and we were one of only two to offer all three product categories including office supplies, recycled paper, and recycled envelopes.

This contract prioritizes environmentally friendly product offerings. As a contract holder, we had to provide an environmental plan highlighting our energy initiatives and sustainability policies. The objective is to educate customers about these initiatives with a goal of achieving end-to-end sustainable practices.

This contract also required the creation of a Punchout Catalog. A Punchout Catalog is an eCommerce site that seamlessly connects a buyer’s procurement system with a supplier’s product catalog. The result is an easy, accessible buying experience–a solution our software developers created in record time.

We are currently responding to customer quote requests for copy paper and more, and we look forward to providing these customers with support throughout the procurement process.
